Privacy Policy

Who we are

BizList.ng is operated by Cybersect BizNet (Salad Business Network), headquartered at Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. You can reach us at hello@bizlist.ng.

What we collect

  • Account: your phone number or email address, and the display name you choose.
  • Location: the country, state/region and city/area you select. We do not read your GPS location.
  • Listings: titles, descriptions, prices and the photos you upload.
  • Messages: the messages you send to other users through BizList chat.
  • Payments: a payment reference and amount. Card details never reach our servers — they are handled by Paystack (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa) or Stripe (global).
  • Verification: the last 4 digits of your ID number, the identity provider used, and the match confidence score.

What we deliberately do NOT store

  • Your full government ID number. Only the last 4 digits are kept.
  • Your raw ID photograph. It is used in memory for the face comparison and then discarded.
  • Your verification selfie lasting longer than 24 hours. It is held in a private storage bucket and deleted by an hourly job after 24 hours.
  • Your card number or bank credentials.

Verification providers

We use Prembly (IdentityPass) for Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa, and Persona for global identity documents (passport, driver licence) once that option is enabled. These providers process your ID and selfie under their own privacy terms. We receive only a pass/fail result, a confidence score and a reference token.

Payments

Boost, verification and BizList Safe escrow payments are processed by Paystack and Stripe. We receive a transaction reference and status. We never see your card number. Escrow funds are held by the payment provider until the transaction completes or is refunded under our terms.

Who can see your data

Phone numbers are private. Other users see only your display name, avatar, verification badge, your public business pages and your listings. Our database uses row-level security so that one user cannot read or edit another user’s records.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your listings at any time from your dashboard. You can delete your business pages. To delete your whole account and associated data, email hello@bizlist.ng and we will action it.

Children

BizList is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in the app.
